Invitation

We cordially invite you to participate in the international scientific and training conference “Scientific Research in Nursing – Foundations of Modern Practice and Professional Autonomy,” which will be held on June 11-12, 2026, at the State University of Applied Sciences Memorial of Prof. Stanislaw Tarnowski in Tarnobrzeg, implemented as part of a project from the Science Vectors program.

Contemporary nursing, a profession characterized by a high degree of professional autonomy, plays a strategic role in the functioning of healthcare systems. Nurses, constituting the largest professional group in the medical sector, perform key functions in providing comprehensive, interdisciplinary healthcare. Their role in maintaining the continuity of services, the availability of services, and the quality of healthcare is becoming particularly important in the face of global demographic challenges, such as an aging population and the increasing demand for long-term care. According to international recommendations, nursing practice should be strictly based on current scientific evidence (Evidence-Based Nursing), and its further development requires systematic support for research in this field.

The main goal of the conference is to create an interdisciplinary platform for knowledge exchange and the presentation of the latest research results in the field of nursing.

The conference will serve to reinforce the importance of science as a foundation for clinical practice, the development of professional competencies, and the development of evidence-based health policies.

The conference will be a two-day scientific and training event organized in a hybrid format, with both in-person and remote participation available. Educational points awarded by the Supreme Council of Nurses and Midwives based on Resolution No. 166/VIII/2025 of the Supreme Council of Nurses and Midwives: 5 points for passive participation, 10 points for active participation.

The conference programme includes plenary sessions with recognized nursing leaders, expert panels on innovations in clinical practice, education, and care management, as well as methodological workshops focused on developing research skills among nurses. Poster sessions, including digital ones, will also be an integral part of the event, enabling the presentation of research results by young scientists, doctoral candidates, and students of scientific groups.

The project is aimed at the scientific, educational, and professional communities of nursing and health sciences, with a particular emphasis on nurses engaged in research, teaching, and the implementation of innovative solutions in clinical practice. The event will provide a platform for presenting research results, exchanging experiences, and building networks for national and international collaboration.
